Runecraft
Also called		Runecrafting, RC

Runecraft (also known as Runecrafting) is a skill that allows players to craft their own runes for Magic spells.

Crafting runes

In the Runecraft skill, magical runes are crafted by binding the magical energy from runecrafting rifts or altars into magical stones. These stones are called essence. There are various types of essence.

Essence

The types of essence are rune essence and pure essence. Both can be used to craft all types of runes, but using pure essence instead of rune essence while runecrafting will give 10% chance of creating extra runes and receiving bonus experience.

Rune essence

Rune essence can be purchased from the General Store in Edgeville for 4 coins each.

Pure essence

Pure essence can be acquired by mining and from monster drops, among other things.

After completion of the Ardougne medium achievement diary, Wizard Cromperty will give 100 noted pure essence for free every day, 150 upon completion of the hard tasks and 250 upon completion of the elite tasks. Wizard Cromperty can be found in north-east Ardougne.

Runecraft pouches

As long as a player doesn't have a small pouch yet, they can reiceive one from the Mage of Zamorak. The Mage of Zamorak can be found northeast of the Edgeville bank.

Once a player has a small pouch, they have a 1/41 chance to obtain a medium pouch as a drop from NPCs with a combat level of 70 or higher. If the player has a medium pouch, they will have 1/41 chance to receive a large pouch as a drop from NPCs with a combat level higher than 100.

Multiple runes

As a player's Runecraft level increases, they can make more runes. However, they only earn experience based on the amount of essence they use.

Wrath, blood, and soul runes cannot be multicrafted.
